The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Club Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our membership club, ensuring an exceptional member experience, strong financial performance, and a safe, welcoming environment for everyone. The Club Manager will oversee staff, manage budgets, coordinate events and programs, and maintain facility standards in alignment with company policies and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Operational leadership: Oversee daily club operations, including front desk, facilities, housekeeping, food & beverage (if applicable), and maintenance to ensure high standards of service and safety for all members and guests.
Team management: Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate staff; foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture that values respect, inclusion, and accountability; provide coaching and development to support retention and performance.
Member relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with members; handle feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally to sustain high satisfaction and retention.
Financial management: Prepare and manage club budgets, monitor revenue and expenses, oversee purchasing and inventory, and implement cost controls to meet financial targets.
Programming and events: Plan, coordinate, and promote member events, classes, and programs that drive engagement and increase membership value.
Facility and safety: Ensure facilities are well-maintained, clean, and compliant with health, safety, and accessibility standards; coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance.
Reporting and compliance: Maintain accurate records, prepare operational and financial reports, and ensure adherence to company policies, local regulations, and licensing requirements.
Marketing support: Support local marketing initiatives to attract and retain members, and collaborate with corporate marketing on promotions and outreach.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, recreation management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of progressive management experience in a club, hospitality, fitness, or member-focused environment.
Proven ability to manage budgets, analyse financial performance, and implement cost-effective solutions.
Strong leadership skills with experience hiring, developing, and motivating teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; customer-service oriented.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.
Proficient with common office software and club management systems; aptitude for learning new technologies.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred; additional certifications as required by local regulations.
